Rev. Annie McGregor Meek was appointed to Community UMC starting September 1, 2024. Her favorite thing is meeting Christ in the Eucharist and in prayer. She is excited to partner with Community UMC in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!
Rev. Annie is a Provisional Elder on loan from the Arkansas Conference and comes to us from Christ Church in Sugar Land, TX where she was the Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Discipleship. She was a hospital chaplain at Ben Taub, Harris Health's community safety net hospital and Level I trauma center in the Texas Medical Center, during the pandemic. She then served on the chaplaincy staff as a PRN at Houston Methodist Baytown briefly while she finished her Master of Divinity at SMU Perkins School of Theology. She brings the dynamic energy of a hospital worker, with an emphasis on pastoral care, and a heart for all God's people to the ministries of Word, Order, Sacraments, and Service. Rev. Annie is married to her college sweetheart, Ryan, and together they have two small daughters, a two-year-old and a baby. She is a Sister in the Order of Saint Luke, a Hendrix College and SMU graduate, and loves the outdoors, board games, writing, learning about all things God and church, and good Jesus stories… preferably over food.
