When people are considering choosing a church, it is important to know what we believe. Here is a summary of our beliefs:
- We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, without sin.
- We believe that Jesus suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried.
- On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
- Jesus said he has gone to prepare a place for us and one day, Jesus will return for us so that where he is, we may also be.
- We believe that salvation comes from putting your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and that God gives us the faith to believe because of God's grace.
- We believe that Holy Communion and Baptism are outward and visible signs of the grace of God working in and through us. These are called Sacraments.
- We believe that God forgives us when we seek forgiveness, and expects us to forgive others.
- We believe that as followers of Jesus Christ we are called to love God first and most, and love others as much as we love ourselves.
- We believe that we are called to be part of a local church and as part of that local church, we support the church with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our sevice and our witness, seeking to share Christ with others, helping others become disciples.
